Matthew advises hospitals and other healthcare providers in connection with implementation of revenue cycle enhancements, development of Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement plans, and a broad range of administrative agency negotiations and litigation matters including defense and appeal of RAC and LME/MCO audit findings. Matthew also assists small businesses and other entities with insurance strategies, complex contract drafting and negotiation, and trial and appellate litigation. His practice places special focus on provider reimbursement strategies and post-payment review audit defense.

Prior to joining the firm, Matthew served as law clerk to the Honorable Sarah Parker, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of North Carolina. Matthew is the author of numerous articles examining a range of constitutional, commercial, and philosophical issues. His scholarship has been published in American and international legal journals and has been cited in briefs to the United States Supreme Court.
